Self-Employment in the Arts (Conferences & Resources) Self-Employment in the Arts (SEA), North Central College, and Millikin University are pleased to announce the first ever Juried College Art Exhibit held in conjunction with the 10th Annual SEA Conference on February 19th and 20th.

Who is this for: College Art Students
Entry Deadline: January 15th, 2010
Notice of Accept...ance: February 1st, 2010
Exhibit: February 19th & 20th at the Hilton Hotel in Lisle, IL
(Held in conjunction with the SEA Conference)
Awards: $800 total including a $300 best of show, $100 People's Choice, and 4 juror's awards at $100 each
Juror: Robert Horvath

The Call for Submissions and entry form will be available soon at www.seaconference.com. In the meantime, you can e-mail aerogers@noctrl.edu to receive the form.

Self-Employment in the Arts (Conferences & Resources) Please join us for the 10th Annual SEA Conference. More details about speakers and sessions will be posted in late summer / early fall. This year we will once again have the $1,000 Business Plan Pitch Competition as part of the conference. All areas of art are represented - visual, performing, literary, and media. ...Activities include artist-led sessions on topics such as marketing, pricing, legal issues, and technological changes. There are also keynote presentations, panel discussions, one-on-one mentoring sessions, an art gallery, jam session, SEA Filmfest, and more. This year we will also have "Speed Networking". More information will be posted on SEA's facebook page and website www.seaconference.com. SEA is open to all college students, community artists, and serious high school students interested in the arts.

The workshops were awesome and informative. The conference as a whole was well planned and organized. For every question ask there was an answer. Covering this event was a pleasure and a public service. Thanks to all involved who made my experience a most memorable, pleasurable and artistic voyage into the world of SEA.
