Yellow Taxi Productions Join us on December 12 at 8pm and December 13 at 6pm for an evening of new plays by our favorite playwrights. Each December YTP produces a very different type of holiday show at the Hunt Building in downtown Nashua and this year is no exception.

Local Nashua playwright Lowell Williams (Six Nights in the Black Belt, The... Warmth of the Cold) will premiere the ten-minute play The Diner. Directed by Phillip Allen it will feature local favorites Gail Angellis,Gina Carballo, and Larry Lickteig. The play focuses on a father's reunion with his daughter and their chance to start over.

Lowell's play will be joined by New York playwright Brian Dykstra's (Clean Alternatives) offering Service Order. Directed by Leah Belanger the play asks the question, What do you do when the stairs are out of order?

YTP will also present the East Coast premiere of Broadway playwright and film director Neil LaBute's (bash, reasons to be pretty, The Shape of Things) play titled Helter Skelter. The play will feature Casey Preston and Suzanne Delle from YTP's production of Burn This. A husband and wife meet at an upscale restaurant after a morning of Christmas shopping and secrets are revealed and grand gestures made.

Entitled THE LARAMIE PROJECT: 10 YEARS LATER, the play will be performed in New York at Lincoln Center’ Alice... Tully Hall, and at the Hunt Building on Main Street in Nashua and over 100 other theaters across the country on October 12, 2009 at 8pm. The writers of this play are Tectonic Theater Project members Moisés Kaufman, Leigh Fondakowski, Greg Pierotti, Andy Paris and Stephen Belber.

YTP audiences will recognize Josiah as the director of The Countess and Taking Sides as well as the actor in the one-man shows The Santaland Diaries and Fully Committed. He also led the Lunch Box workshops on Developing a One Man Show and Staging Sex on Stage last season with YTP. Josiah is also an Equity Stage Manager who has worked at Boston Lyric Opera, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre and this season at Stoneham Theatre. During this Lunch Box lecture Josiah will go into the basics of what a stage manager actually does over the course of the rehearsal process and production run and how that differs in both Opera and Theatre.

Yellow Taxi Productions Yellow Taxi Productions will present a free staged reading of a new play by Boston playwright Meron Langsner titled "The Devil’s Own Game". The three person play focuses on a modern scientist who summons Dr. Faustus to assist her and gets more than she bargained for when Mephistopheles shows up too.
