The Guitar: A Fender TG-4, steel string, acoustic guitar, custom made for Big & Rich, and autographed by Big Kenny himself. The guitar is inlaid with the words "Love Everybody" on the... back. Fender guitar case is included.
How the Auction Works: Send your bid to guitar.auction@tnautism.org by Tuesday, December 15th at 8:00 a.m., with the subject line “Big & Rich Guitar.” The highest bidder wins the guitar and the satisfaction of knowing their contribution to ASMT will go a long way towards helping Middle Tennessee families affected by autism.
Minimum Bid: The bidding will start at $300.
Auction Dates: Friday, December 11th – Tuesday, December 15th at 8:00 a.m.
The Story Behind the Guitar: Georgia, a 10-year-old girl living in Middle Tennessee, has an older brother with autism. Last year around the Holidays her family fell upon hard times and received gift card assistance from ASMT’s Annual Holiday Gift Card Drive. This year, the family is in a better situation and has dedicated their time and energy into helping less fortunate families.
At her 10th birthday party in September, Georgia asked her friends to bring gift cards in lieu of presents. She raised approximately $275 worth of gift cards for the Annual ASMT Holiday Gift Card Drive. When Georgia and her mom saw the ASMT email earlier this week indicating we still had children on our waiting list and not enough gift cards to go around, she was inspired to do even more.
Georgia’s family has donated this beautiful, custom made guitar to ASMT so that we might raise as much as possible for the 2009 Holiday Gift Card Drive.
Help us make the most of this donation so that we can provide Holiday assistance to even more children and families affected by autism in Middle Tennessee. Place your bid now by emailing guitar.auction@tnautism.org. Or make a donation to ASMT by calling 615-385-2077 or make an online donation at tnautism.org.

ASMT is hosting a Holiday Gift Card Drive for those in need. We ask that you donate a gift card to be distributed to families affected by autism that are under considerable financial strain this holiday season.
While we appreciate any gift cards received, the best cards you could donate are Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger, Publix, and Visa gift cards! Please send these to ASMT (955 Woodland Street, Nashville TN 37206) no later than December 14, so we can distribute the cards and give families time to shop.
We have been gathering a list of families that are in need this Holiday Season. Hopefully, with your help we will be able to provide assistance to all families on our list. We currently have 91 kids on the list.
Time:6:00PM Friday, December 11th

Hector What you guys do is great, keep up the good work!

Willa Brown Cecil Hello! I have a 28 year old autistic son who is living in a group home with 6 other residents. I have noticed in the past 3 years an increase in aggressive behavior to the point that I have had to limit my contact with him. It seems that I somehow trigger this aggressive behavior and when it happens it is sudden and... there seems to be no trigger. I understand that it is not uncommon for this to happen with autistic people in their 20's and it often happens in individuals who have not had a history of aggressive behavior. Does anyone have any feedback on this? My son is very happy at the group home and has bonded with his caregivers, so he doesn't seem to miss having less contact with me, which is a very good thing and makes this much easier for me to handle. Thanks and have a GREAT Thanksgiving!
