Sherri Woodruff Broome My Miniature Bull Terrier, Minnie passed away at the young age of 3 on 10/13/09 after being diagnosed with lower intestional/colon cancer just 6 weeks prior. I miss her SO much!

Donna Ludovissy I received the call from my vet today to 'pick-up Bronson'(my 7yr old boxer) - we lost him 2.5 weeks ago to multi-centric lymphoma and chose to have him cremated. I've been waiting for the call, but this was not the way he was supposed to come home. My heart still aches and cannot seem to get thru a day without crying...

My dog Lucky was put to rest today after a fight against lymphoma and more recently leukemia. I rescued her from a local animal shelter on June 5th, 2002. It has been an amazing 7+ years with her. I am so thankful for every moment we had together.
I ♥ you Lucky dog. I am so happy you’re not in pain anymore. I miss you so much.

My dog Tobey is 4. In March he had surgery to remove a large tumor in his abdomen, and an infected lymphnode. The oncologist said the tumor had characteristics of both leiomyosarcoma and myxosarcoma. At his recent follow up ultrasound, he had two lymphnodes migrated to his abdomen, but "looking normal." Plus now he has... bladder stones. Does anyone have experience with either of these types of cancers, especially in a young dog?Read More

Michael Prevedel I just learned friday that my best friend Lady, 9 year old Golden Retriever , was diagnosed with acute lymhocytic leukemia. Is there anyone out there that has heard of any new treatments for this. I live in Michigan and have had my friend to an Oncologist but I'm still trying to hold on to hope that something else can be done. She is the love and joy of this household.

Lindsey Waggoner I just had to put my 8 year old Bailey to sleep yesterday. We had no idea he was even sick until the past few days. It happened so fast and attacked his body so furiously it was to late. I miss him so much....

My wonderful boy Arlo, he is 10, most likely has cancer in his head and nose. He has a mass that the CT scan showed has done some damage to some of his bones. The biopsy done didn't get a good sample so the want to do it again. Besides this mass in his head he is completely healthy. I am so tired of waiting for an ...answer. They want to do another biopsy but I am thinking that maybe I should have a different vet do it. I don't want him to suffer, but I don't want to give up the fight. We are in NW Indiana, but I will drive anywhere to get him the best care. Any suggestions, or experiences similar?Read More

Donna Ludovissy I lost my 7yr old fawn boxer, Bronson, a week ago Monday, to multi-centric lymphoma. We ran numerous tests over the last 3 months (including testing cells from his lymphnodes in his neck) and nothing came back indicating cancer until the day after we lost him. My heart is broken and I miss him so much.:( Good luck to anyone who is going through this, my heart goes out to you and your family...

Update on Maddie - The end of August I posted that after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma and having her right front leg amputated in early February and going through 6 rounds of chemo that her lung scan came back clean on July 2nd. Maddie went for her check-up on October 23rd and I am so sad to have to tell you all ...that the cancer is back and she has lung mets. We've been taking her to University of Penn Veterinary Hospital and we met with her oncologist but they feel that at this time we should focus on keeping her comfortable with a good quality of life for as long as possible. They don't think there are any other treatments out there (i.e. metronomics therapy) that have any studies to indicate they would be beneficial for her. She is on an NSAID - tepoxalin that she seems to be responding very well to. So please keep our girl in your prayers. We are praying that she will stay healthy and well at least through the upcoming holiday season. We will continue to give updates....Read More
