I hope everyone is aware of the signs of a stroke. My mum had a massive pontine (brain stem infarct) on the 29th of Oct last year, ironically it was also World Stroke Day. She died 10 days later. I miss her more than anything else in the world & would do anything to have her back. But the reality she isn't coming b...ack. If only she knew how to prevent that stroke. EVERYONE, PLEASE be aware of the signs and do something. If by telling you my story it saves a life, then my mother's death has not gone in vain. Cecelia :)Read More

Julie Midworth

Julie Midworth My mum had a stroke in Feb this year. She has made progress and is being assessed by ACAT next month to perhaps go back to live in her unit. My mum really wants to return home however she will need to have 24/7 care with support. I work full time and have a family and my brother also works and has a family. However I want to do the best for her and take care of her. Could anyone offer some advise please?
