Peter

Peter ok...I'll go first. I am thankful to visit Maine several times per year, and soon to be more as my in-laws just RE-relocated to Maine. The wildlife, the crystal blue ocean, the majestic pine trees, the wide expanse of forests, the unhurried lifestyle of Maine all pulls me north. I hope to be up there soon!

I was thankful to visit Rockland and Fryeburg. What especially appealed to me were the 4 Historic Inns...
LimeRock Inn, Berry Manor, Granite Inn and Captain Lindsey's Inn. Also, I am thankful for the gourmet cuisine at Lily Bistro, In Good Company and Cafe Miranda. To top it all off, Rockland is the friendliest
town ever.
My thankfulness extends to Fryeburg. Staying at the Oxford House Inn and savoring their gourmet meals was a treat.
I want to go back!

I like the independent hard working spirit of Maine people. They don't push papers around and gamble with other people's money. They do real work, machinists, lobstermen, boat builders, house builders, fishermen...It's refreshing be around down to earth people.
I am thankful for our beautiful winters and the best summer weather I've ever known. If you're not born in Maine, you can't claim to be a Mainer... but after 25 years here, I call Maine my home.

Dodie and Sandra - what GREAT reasons to be thankful for Maine. I am thankful for fall foliage, walks on the beach (especially Popham!), and the nicest people you will ever meet! Sandra - I have heard about Cafe Miranda and can't wait to get there myself sometime soon!
