Chuck L. Saylor

Chuck L. Saylor Hello Neah Bay,
What a wonderful surprise and opportunity to visit old friends. My name is Chuck Saylor and I've been to Your home a number of times. Doing the things guys do, like fishing! My wife is Judy Starkey Saylor. She did a lot of excavation at Ozette and brought Seniors up to visit the museum and meet the Elder...s. It was always a joy! It sure helps to promote understanding.

Judy and I, are both getting to be elders ourself. We live in the interior of Alaska, in a very different lifestyle than you find in the Lower 48. We refer to that as, 'outside' and neither of us go outside any more. It sure will be great just to see your progress in your vision for the future of the people. You have our prayers and our best wishes for a great and safe, New Year!

We actually had a pretty warm December. There were a few days of -45 degrees but this last week or so, has been -20. Not too bad! At least we have not yet seen the -70 degree mark. That has to be a real plus. We are starting to gain some daylight hours back now after Solstice. We are nearly back up to 4 hours of daylight.

You folks stay dry! I'll take the cold. Have a great and very safe, New Years. We pray that your progress continues through the entire year and well beyond!
