Netflix Movie Watching World Championship
Suresh Joachim and Claudia Wavra are hanging on 4 days into this 5-day movie marathon . . .
Any predictions?

Netflix Movie Watching World Championship Former Netflix Champ, Cheryl Jones slipped into sleep this morning during The Manchurian Candidate. She had known that this movie was going to be tough for her. At 10:52 AM Sunday morning, after beating the record time that she helped establish in 2003, she bid the house a fond farewell to a standing ovation from both those inside and assembled crowd outside the Netflix House.

We are down to two competitors. Here's a quick catch up on the weekends happenings at Times Square:
Crazy Legs Conti dropped out Friday night at 8:35 after completing one of his favorite movies: Fletch. He's since been back to cheer the remaining watchers on and speak to the regular crowd that has assembled here at Military Island, Times Square.
The dramatic duo in the house here were Facebook winners, Jerry Cavallaro and Jose Feliciano. They had been fighting sleep starting on Friday and worked together to stay up. They talked to each other, nudged each other and made sure they were not fading. After nearly 3 days, both succumbed to sleep on Sunday morning. Jose dropped at 4:35 AM. Jerry made it til dawn but said goodbye to the Netflix House at 8:21.

Netflix Movie Watching World Championship Jeff Jones was another causualty at 4:06 today. At 28 hours, 53 minutes, Jeff threw in the towel and left the Netflix house. Best wishes to both Matt and Jeff.

Netflix Movie Watching World Championship Matt Raub nodded off at 12 noon today after making it past the 24 hour mark. Stay tuned for video updates from the front.

Netflix Movie Watching World Championship Only competitors will be flown to NYC for their participation in the event

Netflix Movie Watching World Championship Flushed and bleary-eyed, the remaining two competitors broke the world record for consecutive movie watching in Times Square yesterday lasting 123 hours and 10 minutes. Claudia Wavra from Germany and Suresh Joachim from Canada stayed awake for 57 movies each winning $10,000, a lifetime subscription to Netflix and the famed Popcorn Bowl trophy. They both bowed out after watching "Thelma and Louise." A fitting ending as Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis plunged over the cliff and the credits rolled!
