The first person to hold the Murren Family Distinguished Director’s Chair will be Dr. John C. Ruckdeschel, the Institute’s current Director and CEO, and every director thereafter in perpetuity.

Nevada Cancer Institute Today, NVCI opened the doors to the Ralph and Betty Engelstad Cancer Research Building. The new facility is more than 184,000 square feet and is dedicated exclusively to research, housing up to 40 individual laboratories on three floors for investigators and their teams, as well as shared resources to support clinical research and expanded basic and translational research.

The event will include a 5K run, fun walk and 100-yard mini monster dash on Saturday Oct. 24 at Nevada Cancer Institute. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the run will begin at 9 a.m.

The 10th Annual Four Seasons Halloween Run for Cancer Research will take place on Saturday, October 24, on NVCI's campus. This family-friendly event will include a 5K Run and Fun Walk as well as a 100-yard Mini Monster Dash, a costume contest for children and pets, various children’s activities and a tasty Four Seasons... catered breakfast.
Registration begins at 7 am with the run beginning at 9. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt.

Nevada Cancer Institute NVCI is offering free screening mammograms to uninsured women, ages 40 to 64, during a special four-day event at the Pearson Community Center.
