SOUP OF THE MONTH
To celebrate the launch of our fantastic new recipe book, here’s a
delicious sample from its very pages, just flick to “Page 48”! Mildly
spiced sweet potatoes, lentils and cauliflower create this luxurious
dhal. Tastes great for lunch, even better for supper with friends
(serve with basmati rice, naan bread and ice-cold beer). Why not have a
crack at making it yourself?!

Sara-Ànanda Fleury Hi, a little while ago I asked you if you suplied in Montreal, Canada. You never answered, I suppose because you can t deliver fresh soup far away. Anyways, just wanted to say that your soups are the things I miss the most from Europe. It might sound insane but it is true, on a food level of course. Please try to make soup in Canada, there is a huge market for you overseas.

Soup of the Month - CHOC FULL OF BEANS
Heat' & 'Sweet' - To this generous bowl of hearty beans and rice, we've added a couple of twists. The smokey warmth from paprika and chilli have a gentle 'heat' - and dark organic chocolate adds depth to the flavour, and just a touch of 'sweet'!

New Covent Garden Food Co. Those of you who are regular users of our website will notice we have been running a Soup of the Month archive vote, asking you to choose your favourite recipe from down the years. ‘Choc Full of Beans’ is the current leader. So, we’re giving you what you want and bringing it back it for another month this September! Thank-you to everyone that voted and sent us feedback – remember to keep voting. Power to the people!

New Covent Garden Food Co. If you've had any success growing peas this year, why not let us know or send us some photos... we would love to hear from you!

New Covent Garden Food Co. Regular picking is essential for a truly fresh pea and peas at the bottom of a plant will normally be ready first, so start there and work up! They taste better when they are picked early [when fully grown they go hard and lose that wonderful sweet taste]
