Chris,

Outstanding speech! Well said. I totally agree with you and hopefully your wise words will inspire others to stand tall and willing to proclaim the distinction of our profession. Thanks for your humble and encouraging servant leadership and congratulations on your ascension to President.

Totally agree! This message needs to be shared with folks outside NEWWA (I'll share with folks here in VA AWWA). More importantly, it needs to be shared outside the waterworks community! (no sense in just preaching to the choir)

NEWWA's Program Committee is currently working on the 2010 Spring Conference
program. For the last couple of years there has been a specific session for
the Young Professionals to present a project that they have worked on or an
interesting topic/idea relating to the water works profession. The presentations are
judge...d by a small committee, which selects a winner, who wins a registration for the AWWA Annual
Conference and Exposition to compete in the “Fresh Ideas Poster
Session." Currently
the Program Committee does not have enough abstracts to fill one session, and needs a few more. If you or anyone you know is interested please let
Margaret McCarthy know at mccarthy@wseinc.com.
Abstracts should be submitted to NEWWA at the attached link and are needed as soon as possible.

Arsenic and uranium are toxic chemicals that can cause serious illnesses like heart disease and cancer. They are just about the last thing any family would want to find in their drinking water.

It is a myth that the H1N1 vaccine is NOT FDA approved (It is approved) and that it is dangerous. Only people who have allergies to egg proteins MAY have a risk of a reaction to that and any other vaccine. Would I lie to you? After all, I am a microbiologist.
