New Geologist The Arizona Section of AEG is pleased to announce that our next meeting will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Pizzeria Uno in Tempe. The hosted social hour begins at 6 PM (thanks to AECOM), dinner is usually around 7 PM and the talk will begin shortly after dinner. The presentation topic is "SR 87 Landslide Remedial... Repairs, Investigation and Monitoring”
presented by Keith Dahlen, PE, and Wayne Harrison, PG. We are happy to have Wayne and Keith presenting on this project of great interest. Look out for future information on a follow-up field trip to the SR 87 landslide sometime this summer!

Three students were chosen by the societies to give a power point presentation on their research, and the other students will be presenting posters on their research. This is a great opportunity for students to meet professionals and... for professionals to meet possible employees. Please r.s.v.p. to Nichole Wendlandt at nwendlandt@gfnet.com by noon on Monday April 13th. The cost for students is $5, for members $25, and non-members $30. The social hour begins at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., and presentations at 8 p.m.
