United States of America

Christian Prosl studied Law and French Language/Literature at the University of Vienn...a (1964–1969) and holds a doctorate in Law; he continued his post-graduate studies at the Institute of Advanced International Studies in Genève. In his long career as a diplomat, he served as the First Secretary in London, the Counselor for Economic Affairs in Washington, D.C, and the General Consul in Los Angeles. He also served as Austrian Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany and became the Ambassador to the United States of America in May 2009.
