Carnegie Hall
“It is probable that this hall will intertwine itself with the history of our country,” said Andrew Carnegie in 1890, when he laid the cornerstone of what is now Carnegie Hall.

I don't know of a webpage with a complete list, but you can email archives@carnegiehall.org and someone there should be able to help you. Good luck!

When I was student I played Cello with the NYC Youth Symphony and we performed in Carnegie Hall. What a THRILL that was! That Orchestra is outstanding and the acoustics in that Hall add to the excitement. One of my favorite memories! I still have the programs from then back in the 1970s. One way someone can find out who performed at Carnegie Hall might be to go through the programs of previous and current performances. It will take research as you can guess.
Sami St. John

Sami St. John I had so much fun performing in carnegie hall this past spring with a large chorus under the direction of Mr. John Rutter. It was a wonderful experience.

What cachet? It's a performance venue for rent like everywhere else hence the routine MidAmerica Productions series. This is nothing new, Florence Foster Jenkins even used the space on the 25 October back in 1944.

i haven been there though.... Its one of the greatest hall in the world.... But it will cause me a bomb for going there....
Ronald Vogel

Ronald Vogel To Rob Rehm,
You could stay at the Parker Meridian Hotel. It's literally next door to Carnegie Hall and priced reasonably. Rooms are clean and Norma's restaurant in the hotel is arguably the best breakfast in NY. Also, there's what many consider to be the best hamburger in the Lobby; can't remember the name of the place; just follow your nose.
Hope this helps and have a great time in NY.

Cornelia Wathen My Mother used to take me to Carnegie Hall to hear Victoria De Los Angeles, among others. And I used to be thrilled to sing in Carnegie Hall with the Oratorio Society. I miss that, now that I live further away. But I hope to attend concerts there until I die.
