Join Jasmine and Sarah for a 10 day sacred pilgrimage and yoga retreat to Haridwar, India during the auspicious Kumbha Mela. This is an especially potent time and place for spiritual practice when truth seekers from all over the world and India will gather by the Sacred Ganga near it's source to bathe in her powerful ...and purifying waters.

The Kumbha Mela festival originates from the story of the churning of the ocean by the Gods and Demons to extract it's elixir, the Amrit or water of Life. They both desired immortality, which only the water of life could bestow. First they extracted 12 precious objects, then the divine medicine man, Dhanwantari, emerged from the ocean with a pot or Kumbha of amrit, or nectar. During a quarrel over the Amrit, some drops of the elixir fell on the earth, where these drops landed became the four sacred sites of Kumbha Mela.

During our 10 day retreat to Haridwar, one of the 4 holy cities along the Ganges where a Kumbha Mela takes place every 12 years and means " gateway tot the abode of the Gods" we will bathe in the Ganga herself though the celebration of the Creative Power of Shakti in her many colors, moods and forms. Through our own intense "churning" of our own inner ocean through the rich and timeless practices of Yoga, we will extract our own Kumbha or sacred vessel of Amrit, the nectar of Immortality and experience liberation through our daily Sadhana.

Each day will begin with a 2 hour Asana Puja or sacred ceremony with Jasmine, honoring a different aspect of the Goddess and awakening her unique spirit within, the afternoons will be spent at the Mela meeting wild Holy Men and Women and taking in the Bhav or sacred Mood of the Holy Festival, the Evenings will culminate with the Manifestation of The Goddess herself through creating your very own Yantra with Sarah guiding you through this ancient Tantra Yoga practice. Finally merge with the infinite through guided meditations with Robert. Attending all practice sessions is highly recommended to receive the full benefit of this ecstatic time of transformation.

All levels are welcome and encouraged to come and play with their edge and rest as they need.

Delicious and wholesome vegetarian daily meals will be prepared and served daily by our beloved host Seema Johari and her beautiful family in their home where all of our daily practices will take place. A sacred space created by Seema's father, the late, great Spiritual Master Harish Johari.

Price:

The price of the retreat is $2,500 for a double room or $3,200 for a single room at a lovely hotel called ‘Le Grand’ just down the road from the Johari Home.
This price includes all room and board, 3 meals a day, all travel within India and all yoga, yantra and meditation sessions.
You are only required to buy your round trip ticket to and from Delhi.
