Sallie Wilson was part of the NYTB family for over 20 years, and for many of us who've had a long affiliation with Diana Byer, Sallie and the Company, she was beyond our teacher. I remember the first day I saw her, when she came into the NYTB office during a summer hiatus.

You guys are a wonderful company.
I was so impressed with what I saw in rehearsal.
I hope I can make Friday's show.
Merde for a great performance!

Our final performances of the season will take place April 4, 11-12, 7:30 pm, at Florence Gould Hall. It's our "Back by Popular Demand" evening. Alastair Macaulay of The New York Times said, "I hope that NYTB can give us more Tudor and Limon...but I would be happy to see this same program again." (February 2008) So, on April 4, we're repeating Tudor's Jardin aux Lilas, Little Improvisations and Judgment of Paris and Limon's Suite from Mazurkas. We're also presenting the Pas de Deux from Romeo & Juliet, by Tudor. This is a company premiere, and it just so happens that April 4 is Antony Tudor's 100th birthday.

The following weekend, (April 11-12) in addition to the above, we will present a revival of Le Combat and NYTB will dance the world premiere of Game Two, a contemporary work made especially for the company by Matthew Neenan, resident choreographer of Pennsylvania Ballet. Set to music by Bizet, Ferdy Tumakaka and Noriko Suzuki will play the piano score live!
