But along the way, it's also worth asking a secondary question. Is the general public served? In this regard, I'm also thinking of the controversy regarding the breaking of Dr. Albert Barnes' will and the decision to move his collection to the Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. For all the wrong reasons, the art-going public will probably be better served by this move. In the same way, I think I'm going to be more interested in what Jeff Koons has to say about the Dakis Joannou collection, than I am going to be concerned about the New Museum's sliding down the slippery slope of museum ethics.
