Stony Brook University Crew Stony Brook wraps up its season at the Dad Vail Regatta, one of the largest, most prestigious national championships in the United States. Typical competitors include NC State, University of Virginia, Marist College, University of Georgia, University of Maryland, Temple University, and the United States Military Academy.

Stony Brook University Crew Stony Brook makes its annual November trip to Philadelphia's Schuylkill River, where it competes in two separate, Saturday/Sunday Regattas. Typical competitors at these events include Temple University, Penn State, Ithaca College, and Binghamton University

What's in essence the "home" race for Stony Brook, rowers make the short drive to Dowling College to compete against local and rival crews.
Alumni will get an opportunity to race once again in the regatta's annual alumni heat. Stony Brook University is the alumni race's defending champions!
DIRECTIONS TO REGATTA SITE
Fro...m the Throgsneck Bridge:
Come over the Bridge and stay on the Clearview Expressway go to exit 4 Long Island Expressway (495) go east toward Riverhead. Take 495 to exit 56 Rte 111. When you get off the LIE make a right at first light (Exxon/Mobil on corner). Move immediately to the left lane and bare left onto Carlton Avenue there will be a Kinkos on the right. Travel south on Carlton to route 27 East. Take Rte. 27 east to exit 46A stay to left towards Oakdale. Go to first light Idle Hour Blvd, make a right and school is ½ mile on the right. Make first right after guard booth and enter through side gate.
