Extended Info

About the Festival: The Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF), currently celebrating its 10th anniversary, champions the diversity of theatre. We welcome theatrical storytelling across a broad spectrum of genres, forms, identities, cultures, and appetites. We seek to nurture these new ideas, perspectives, and stories on our stages, with an eye set on guiding these productions towards future success and longevity. The Festival, traditionally held in late summer, represents a fantastic, often paradoxical, adventurous and intriguing cross-section of the forefront of the world of theatre.

The Festival is the brainchild of John Chatterton, founder and editor of OOBR ("the off-off-broadway review")."

Glenn De Kler Nobody can match the Midtown on accessibility, congeniality, and professionality... is that a word? Anyway, a big thanks from the 'Panicked' Crew for allowing us the venue to present "Whiskey, Beer, & Apple Pie"

Ira Blatt My final night at the Midtown International Theatre Festival with two very different shows. Out of the Sandbox was moving and engaging; it portrayed very realistic family situations for me and helped me witness episodes in my life which I haven't completely healed yet. A Night in the Kremlin, which is why I even sough...t the festival, was an entertaining homage to the Marx Brothers and understanding Joe Stalin's descent to evil. Both shows provided VERY professional and skillful actors who drew me into their worlds.

I already look forward to next year's festival. Thank you all!

Ira Blatt Back from the Midtown Theatre Festival. Tonight was "Insecurity:The Recession Proof Musical". A good, entertaining show. The talented cast clearly had fun performing together. I look forward to more. This festival is fun! Thanks to those responsible.
