Two weeks / ...three weekends of Wies’n Hendl, Giant Sausage Platters, Riesen Wies’n Brezen and more for a solid foundation to drink a Mass or two or three(?) of the four different, original Bavarian Oktoberfest beers on tap.
Slip into your Dirndls and Lederhosen, schunkel, sing and party to the music of Zum Schneider’s notorious Mösl Franzi and the JaJaJas presenting to you all the Oktoberfest hits, plus the endless party music by our house DJ VolkaRacho.

Well here it comes, the first (I think ever) Bavarian Trachten fashion show in New York is happening at Zum Schneider on August 23rd from 3-5pm, giving you not only the chance to watch hot models but also to ge...ar up for the upcoming Oktoberfest season. So don't miss this event because there is still no Bavarian Trachten shop in New York!

Dear Zum Schneider friends,
time is a funny thing. Although most people agree that it goes by too fast, we're always undecided. It seems like centuries ago when we tapped the first beer at 7am on August 19 2000 - but then the celebration of our 5 year anniversary feels like it happened yest...erday. One thing is clear, it's very easy to know what "Schneider-year" we're in, as we kicked off our beloved, culture-, culinary- and fun-drenched watering hole at the millenium 9 years ago.
So come, sing, clap, dance, eat and drink with us on Wednesday, August 19th starting at 3pm to celebrate our 9th anniversary.

The popular Alphabet City place, notorious for its crazy Oktoberfest and Karneval parties, will completely change from a Bavarian eatery into a crazy place you won't recognize.

This Wednesday, your favorite 5-man polka band The Ja Ja Jas (Zum Schneider's house band for Oktoberfest, Karneval etc.) are taking over The Bowery Poetr...y Club to give a blowout concert. The entire event will be recorded with state of the art audio equipment and released as an album, which is destined to win the Best Polka Album of 2008 at next year's Grammy Awards. But we need your help because the Jas can't play unless people are drinking, dancing and causing trouble! Join us for some Oktoberfest fun in the middle of February!
