Can you please have SOMEONE WHO IS REMOTELY LINKED TO helping a member (I am a member of NYSOTA and the AOTA) with a long term disability policy I have had for decades through the AOTA. No one at the AOTA is helping! No one seems to be in touch with anything there. I received a renewal notice, AT THE LAST MINUTE, with a policy that went from ... Read Moreabout $2500 to over $7000. The woman at the administrators, at MARSH, says that only the New York OTs are being treated this way. I would think that PTs are a MUCH HIGHER RISK, and I called many friends (who are PTs) and their policies are staying at $2500 per year, and they are 5 years older and have had CANCER. I am healthy and a much lower risk. I need support from the NYSOTA for this, since it affects all the NEW YORK STATE OTs with this AOTA LT DISABILITY POLICY (according to the administrator at MARSH). This is absolutely obscene. I have called the AOTA, which I have ALWAYS BEEN A MEMBER OF, and they have, to date, been TOTALLY UNHELPFUL. Please, can someone call me at: (917)853-6554. Thank you.
