Over the past few years, several properties along the north end of Elkton Road have been demolished and rebuilt in the image of Newark's main shopping and business district, with brick façades, lower floors occupied by retailers and upper floors of apartments.

Downtown Newark Partnership The Annual Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat Main Street will be held today from 3 - 5 PM on Main Street. It's a beautiful day ... grab your ghosts and goblins and have some wholesome spooky fun in the best darn downtown around!!! Note: Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic throughout the event!

Downtown Newark Partnership The first Pink Out sponsored by UD's Colleges Against Cancer and the Newark Arts Alliance. The event will be held on the North end of the Green with an inclement weather backup (TBD). Join supporters of Breast Cancer Awareness month in forming a human pink ribbon (must wear pink). Photos will be taken. Give a cheer for... cancer awareness and expect the event to be over by 12:30.
