Hi. Im currently a comp sci major but I am planning on transferring to NJIT as a Comp. Engineer. Are there pre-req's I should touch up on before I attend NJIT other then the typical pre calc, english comp stuff. I currently have a 3.5 gpa. I'm taking Calculus 3, Calculus Based Physics I, and I have taken all my english... compisition classes. Also, is it complicated/hard to switch to comp. engin. form comp. sci. course wise? Thanks for all the help.Read More

3.5 gpa means nothing .....i am shooting straight from the hip.....if you are coming to njit to study engage yourself with the department you are interested in.......you don't come to njit to do comp 1&2, cal 1, 2, & 3, chem 1, and physics 1, 2, &3 as a transfer student......come ready to do the core courses in your major all things here cost a lot but i must tell you, you don't regret the quality of education handed to you but you must work hard

yes i know all that. just because I'm transferring in doesnt mean that i havent taken career/core classes. all my classes are comp sci classes not comp engin. my whole concern was how far behind would i be and if there is anything i can do to help me catch up. and i worked HARD for that 3.5 gpa. and it does matter what my gpa is because theres a ... Read Moremin. gpa requirement to transfer in. i just needed insight from current student etc. not just nj transfer and the njit site. admissions hasnt helped much either. the guy has just caused so much problems for me. but thanks.
