trust me you need a dolly. im so glad i had one. my back was killing me WITH one. its so cheap and you dont go for just one piece, you go for ALOT of pieces. You need milk crates and dolly, or one like mine that has a crate attatched to a handle lol. the tent sale is for people who collect it or want entire sets. the lines are like 4-5 hours long so if youre a die hard Fiesta collector its for you. lol.

I was born and raised in East Liverpool, Ohio and didn't "appreciate" Fiesta until I was long gone from Ohio. I've NEVER been to Homer Laughlin. I will make it one day. : )

Homer Laughlin China Thank you Angie for bringing to our attention the difficulty of uploading fan photos to our site. After trying from our own profiles we found it is quite difficult to upload a fan photo. We will contact Facebook to see if this is something that can be made easier. In the meantime we have created step by step instructio...ns on how to upload a fan photo. You can find these instructions in our Notes Section.

Homer Laughlin China Below is a link to an
unearthed video that was recently transferred from an old style 16mm film to
DVD. The estimated production period of this video was during the 1930s.
We hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

I took the tour last year. It is still amazing how much of this work is hand done and how skilled the laborers are. I was also amazed to find that the youngest person in the plant at that time had almost 15 years service. It appears that those who work at HLC have a genuine love for both the company and take alot of pride in their craftmanship. Still some very fine American companies existing--but they are becoming fewer every day...........

Thanks so much for Sharing this film! I found it very interesting. While doing some reasearch awhile back for the 1939 World's Fair I found a couple articles from 1940 on an Automatic Jigger machine at Homer Laughlin. I posted a picture of theses artilces at

I thought it might be of interest to others who enjoyed this film.

The first few times that we went the sale was in the old factory building, Then it moved to the little low building that is seen in these photos. Inside that little building was a poster from years ago, with the original Fiesta Pieces and prices listed. I use to laugh, they were selling so cheap at the factory sale, that they really could have ... See Moreused that original poster as the factory sale prices. The second year they had the sale Lilac was being made. I bought a few disk jugs at $2. each, and 24 tumblers for 25 cents each! IN LILAC !!!!! Was there anything rare there this year? How much are they charging for disk pitcher now?

Born of the Great Depression, it was a glossy, color-saturated line of cups, bowls and plates meant to affordably brighten lives and dinner tables. Seven decades later, Fiesta dinnerware is still designed to send a subtle message of optimism, but it's no longer quite so cheap.

LOL. I see a trend collecting fiesta is contagious, hereditary, and genetic. We you first look through the items left by somebody special, and realize that the items are special, and then appreciate the quality and the craftsmanship.. you're gonna collect FIESTA!

Isn't Longabergers the basket company??? I've wanted to go to the Longaberger factory with the building shaped like a basket !!! That reminds me of a set of vintage fiesta we bought at a sale. The woman bought it for a picnic set ! Two place settings in each of the four colors. Ivory, Yellow, Red, and Cobalt blue. She loaded the picnic basket with ... See Morethe set and couldn't lift it. So she put it in her basement and never used it. We opened the basket to find a sparkling mint vintage set !!! SCORE !!! She charged us $40 bucks for the set but she kept the basket. I bet it was a vintage Longaberger!
