Carrie Happy New Year! Got a question for sports guys! I am a Madison Ice Muskies Hockey fan and have yet to see one news piece about this new team in Madison. I see all kinds of pieces on high school sports that mostly have just the parents attending...this is a newsworthy story. The players are excellent with my children, ...it's a great family event, and the players are great at their jobs...playing Hockey! Get on this story!! Be the "First to report this." They need the fan base, and what better way to let peole know that their is a new leage (AAHL) in town to watch! They play 3 times this weekend. 2:40 today, 7:30 tomorrow (Friday) and 8pm on Sat...at Hartmayer! Get on this story, and help show that Madison wants something like this team!! In addition, my daughter won the naming the mascot contest...an 9 year old named the mascot of the team!!! We won season tix.....That's a story by itself!!!!!!!!!!!!

Julie Houg FYI - if folks plan to give blood at the Red Cross Holiday Drive but are deterred by weather, we have a blood drive at West Middleton Lutheran Church (2.5 mi west of the Beltline on Mineral Point Road, at Pioneer Road) on 12/30 from 10am-3pm. Channel 3 has been good enough to send a crew out the past two years for this... Holiday Drive. This year it's a "New Year's Eve-Eve Bash" and hopefully will be really well-attended!
