The £2.3m Eastwood Pool and Games Hall, which is partly funded by the Big Lottery Fund, is located adjacent to Eastwood High school in Capelrig Road, Newton Mearns.
The facility consists of a swimming pool, a games hall and two male and two female changing rooms with lockers. The pool is 20m long by 8m wide and its depth at the shallow end is 0.9 metres, and at its deep end it is 1.5 metres.
The games hall comprises four badminton courts with sufficient floor space for five-aside football, indoor hockey, basketball and other team sports.
The sports hall will be available for community use between 6pm and 9pm Monday to Friday and between 9am and 3pm at weekends.
The pool is available for Community use between 4pm and 9pm Monday to Friday. Please note that the swimming pool is used for Swimming Lessons on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 4pm and 6pm and is not available for Public Swimming.
On Saturdays and Sundays the pool is available for Community use between 9am and 3pm. Please note that on Sundays between 9am and 12 noon the pool is used for Swimming Lessons and is not available for Public Swimming.
The Games hall is available for Community use between 6pm and 9pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am and 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. To make a booking please call the centre on 0141 577 8697 or call in person at the reception desk during hours of opening.
