Niall O'Sullivan My set of Palaeoanthropological poetry at Utter! Evolution at the Cross Kings, London. Filmed by my lovely fiancée with my lovely Vado HD on the 15th October 2009. Introduced by a germ ridden but determined Richard Tyrone Jones. Kelly Swain, Baba Brinkman and Charlie Dupree were also on the bill headlined by Robin Ince.

I have been trying for ages to vote once registered instead of perpetually registering, which is what I seem to be doing at the moment - is there a time limit for this vote, because it could take some time...

Hello All,
This month's Cellar should be top drawer with a shining line up of some of my favourite London poets.
Firs up, we'll have a set from London poetry stalwart Paul Lyalls. Not only is this man one of the greatest champions of live poetry in London, he's also a sharp and funny poet and a consumnate entertainer.
Als...o on the bill, Wayne Smith returns to the Poetry Cafe to regale us with tales of girlfriend's dads from hell and the constant war waged by six-year-olds on their beleaguered party co-ordinators at fast food establishments.
Finally we'll welcome back Emma Hammond to read from her new collection, Sleeveless Errand. Surprising, surreal, yet forthright and open, Emma's work is highly original and a delight to discover.
I'll be reading some of my own gubbins and poets from the floor are welcome if they arrive early.

After a winter break, The Cellar is back at the Poetry Café this Saturday. In the tradition of awaited returns, we’ll have a set from Flipped Eye poet Charlotte Ansell reading from her debut “You were for the poem” and previewing work from her forthcoming collection.
We also have a set from Cellar regular and favourite..., Dean Wilson, his funny, warm and saucy poems always go down well…
Finally, making his Cellar feature debut, Peter Ebsworth will treat us to witty tales of ageing Benidorm adult entertainers and the wounded pride of actors from cancelled 1980’s sci-fi dramas.
Floor spots will be available for early arrivals and I’ll be reading a few poems and keeping the links tenuous.
Hope to see you there.

Coming up- May 10th line up so far, Emma Hammond and Wayne Smith, more TBA…

Between September and December 2007 we released 5 new titles - Niki Aguirre's 29 Ways to Drown (Fiction), L. K. Robinson's you say it's been good (Poetry), Niall O'Sullivan's Ventriloquism for Monkeys (Poetry), Denise Saul's White Narcissi (Poetry) and Malika Booker's Breadfruit (Poetry).

In addition to that we sold our... 10,000th book in August 2007, just weeks before we made the pages of the New York Metro - with an iconic photo of one of our poets, Ainsley Burrows - for staging a guerrilla reading in the middle of the Brooklyn Book Festival.

Now we have decided to take the time to make some noise and celebrate. Join us at the new and uber-cool Lati Ri Bar in Rivington Place to chill to some music, eat some free finger food, drink, meet and mingle with flipped eye's authors. There will be 15 minute book signing sessions at 8.00pm and 9.30pm and the whole event is FREE of course.
