Before the budget was released on Tuesday 5 May, Premier John Brumby stated that there was "no bad news" in his 2009-2010 budget. Its release has prompted Ferntree Gully MP Nick Wakeling to slam the State Government for once again ignoring the needs of the Ferntree Gully electorate.
