I could rely on the Lord Jesus if I remained in His love as He has remained in God the Father's love through keeping His commands. I need to rely on the grace of God through the Holy Spirit to be able to obey because God knows that Satan is too much for me in his opposition to my obedience. So it is God whom I must rely on for my happiness, because... See More happiness only comes through obedience to commands that God has made for me and those who have trusted Him for eternal life. Remembering obedience and the keeping all of His commands will make me strong and that these commandments are in my best interest to obey drives me to keep them as well as remembering that God loved me so much that He gave His only begotten Son so that all who believe in Him will not perish, but will have eternal life in the life to come.

So yes, it is only through Christ can I do all things, including being happy.
