ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) -- New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson on Thursday urged New Mexicans to spend $25 at each of two local stores this month, an initiative that could have a $27 million economic impact on the state in December.

Nob Hill Main Street Program Governor Bill Richardson and Cabinet Secretary Fred Mondragon will be holding a press conference on Thursday, December 3rd at 12:30 to encourage New Mexicans to shop local during the holiday season. The press conference will be held at Scalo on the patio. Refreshments will be provided. Let's all turn out to show our support.

Surveying has started for phase two of the pedestrian level and street lighting along Central Ave. Work has also started for the two new traffic signals that should help with pedestrian safety in... the area.
