Nomsa Had a fun-filled week with a Movie Night, Laundry Days & Thursday Community Dinner. :)
Nomsa Nomsa Beach Day today!!!! Join us to help drive our homeless friends to Daytona as well as have food, good conversations and continue to build our community!

We've talked about taking our homeless friends to the beach for a year or more now.
We're finally just going to do it.
We're having people sign up (we can't manage to take 60 or more of our homeless friends to the beach, but 20 is doable.)
In order to make this happen, we need to have people commit to drive them....
We'll meet at Lake Eola at 9am on Saturday morning and go to Daytona from there. Nomsa will provide lunch and then we'll head back later in the afternoon.
If we have 2 volunteers per car, we can take 3 homeless friends per car, and if we have 7-10 drivers, we can get a good amount of our friends there.
The only other thing we ask is that if you're coming you bring a towel that a homeless friend can use for the day. :)

This is the April Edition of our volunteer/family meeting.
We'll be meeting at Stardust on Monday to discuss and plan upcoming community events, get feedback about how current events can be better, get to know each other as volunteers to become family and better our community.
We need you to make this happen.

Tuesday nights are $1 movies at Colonial Promenade...
We really need volunteers to help give rides to our homeless friends as well as sponsor the movie night.
We'll start at Lake Eola at 5:00pm to begin giving rides to Colonial Promenade, then we'll be see...ing
SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE at 7:00pm.
IF YOU CANNOT BE THERE AT 5:30 PM, COME WHENEVER YOU CAN TO HELP WITH RIDES.
We'll need all that time to make sure we can get all of our homeless friends rides to the theatre.
Please RSVP and let us know if you can help give rides and/or sponsor for some of our friends to see the movie.

On average, there are 110-125 people there, and we usually have a church providing the food...
This week, they can't bring the food due to a conference.
Can you help?
If we have 6-8 people co...ok pasta,
and 4-5 people bring bread/rolls
and 3-4 people bring a dessert
We can pull this meal off, no problem.
