Center for Service & Civic Engagement (CSCE)
will be collecting stockings for children in need this holidays season. The stockings are free and it only takes a few dollars or a generous donation to make a child's holiday that much happier by stuffing the stockings with goodies.
Pick up YOUR stocking between 8am-5pm November 18th-December 4th at the CSCE. Stocking...... are DUE to the CSCE by 5pm December 5th.

Head to the Webb to mix and mingle with Hampton Roads Disaster Preparedness agencies.
Come and receive disaster preparedness knowledge and tips while also learning about community service opportunities that exi...st within the agencies featured.
Agencies that will be featured at this event include (but are not limited to):
1. Operation Blessing
2. Norfolk CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)
3. Norfolk Emergency Management Department
4. VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster)
5. ODU Police Department
6. Norfolk Fire and Rescue

Entitled, Dare to Prepare, disaster preparedness week events and programs will educate the ODU campus community of the importance of disaster preparedness while providing fun, interactive events, programs and opportunities for service and volunteerism and appearances from various Hampton Roads disaster relief agencies....
Events and programs planned for Disaster Preparedness Week include ‘Dare to Prepare’ Day, Disaster Preparedness Fair, AED Training, Empty Bowls, When the Levees Broke documentary showing and discussion , and Animal Relief Kit donation drive.
