Norfolk State University Holds its 5th Annual Holiday Extravaganza and Spartan Tree Lighting Ceremony Thursday, November 19 at the L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center beginning at 6 p.m. Bring the kiddies out to meet Santa Claus. Visit our winter wonderland, sing a holiday carol or two and grab a cup of hot chocolate or cider. Norfolk State University Has weathered the nor'easter with a few downed tree limbs, a little water damage to ceiling tiles and some power surges. They got a shot on the CBS Morning Show -- NSU banner and all. Then onto the Wendy Williams Show on Monday. Check it out. The NSU bus is also a big hit in the Big Apple. Way to go, team!

Norfolk State University New York Times best-selling author Cornel West will visit Norfolk State University to promote his memoir, Brother West: Living and Loving Out Loud. Free and open to the public, West’s talk will be held at 4 p.m. at the L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center November 2. A book signing will immediately follow his talk.
