Good morning weather warriors! I have a question for you guys: whats the deal with the strage temp/humidity gradients this morning? Looking at the cams it is pretty much completely clear, and humidities relatively equal except around 3300-4000'. What I think is strangest is that the warmest air on the mountain is at 43...00'. How does this work? Why does it set up like this???

Ted Peck Thank you Cara for telling me about this page! I miss climbing the rock pile.

Alice I miss real weather. Gret to find this on FB; CA just isn't NH.

Jack Kaltenhauser I'll read about the cold weather

Joseph Denton Good to be onboard. I've been getting MWO updates through the Weather Exchange program for several years. Puts the weather in the Western Mountains of Maine in perspective. Thanks for the job you folks do. Snowed in Farmington ME today.

Mount Washington Observatory First snow of the season down here at our administrative offices in North Conway! (I think I counted about 20 flakes, haha!)

Exciting things on the summit today: we're hosting a production company who's filming for a show that will air on the History Channel. Can't say more about it before it airs (A&E owns the intellectual property!), but Observatory members can watch a behind-the-scenes account on this coming Monday's Obscast video blog! H...int: it's the same production company that's responsible for "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations." :)Read More

Eric Pinder will give a presentation about life and work at the Obs in the NPL Theater of the Nashua Public Library on November 15 at 2 pm, and read from and sign Cat in the Clouds and the new, expanded edition of Life at the Top. If you’re in southern New Hampshire, stop on by!

Angela Rogers Made it up on the last 'stage' day (they said) on 19 October - what a brilliant day to visit.

Peter Hapgood Just became a fan of MWO...I was trying to hold out to be the 6,288th fan, but didn't feeling like waiting that long ;-)

Mount Washington Observatory Incredible day for pictures on the summit today! Here is one example of sunrise this morning. Plenty more pictures in the observer comments on http://www.mountwashington.org, and also in Brian Clark's AccuWeather.com blog at http://mountwashington.accuweather.com!
