Brand New for 2009 - There’s no reason for those with hearing difficulties to miss any of the action this year, as for the first time ever we’ll have Clarion Interpretation Services on hand to interpret some of the new shows and lectures using British Sign Language.

Be transported through time and experience over 2000 years of history including some of the most iconic events in Britain’s colourful past.
With a cast of thousands, the displa...ys are breathtaking. Watch as over 1,000 re-enactors march out of history and into the heart of England. Hear the thud of Roman soldiers as they march in unison, the thunder of charging horses, the crowds cheer and swords clash as Knights engage in battle and the roar of WWII fighter planes as they soar overhead.
With more than 50 different shows each day the Festival of History provides an action packed day out for the whole family. If you are only going to one event this summer, make the Festival of History it!
