Bring your coupons to swap or come without. This event's main focus is on collecting items for The Rose Garden (details below).
We will be giving all donations collected to The Rose Garden in Coving...ton, KY which is run by the Franciscan Daughters of Mary. Their original mission was to help pregnant women get the things needed for their coming blessing. Over time, the need of our communities has taken them to also include a food pantry and they take any type of donation in an effort to help all those that walk through their doors. If a person comes in asking for an item, they get it. In the many years that they have been operating, they have always relied on the Lord to provide and have only had to turn people away a handful of times due to not having items in stock.
There are not many organizations that will help anyone and everyone – no questions asked. What an amazing thing they do to help those in need and therefore, we will be helping them to continue their good work!
For every pregnant woman that they help, they always make a HUGE basket full of baby needs and each woman receives this. They need baby items, non-perishable food items, personal care items, and we are also accepting new or gently used coats, jackets, toys, baby needs (swings, bouncers, etc).
If you were at the Back To School Social, you will find that this event is much like that one only with a Christmas flair!
