Reception for Dave Olsen Exhibition @ Papa’s Deli Gallery
Dave Olsen is the featured NAC member artist at Papa's Restaurant and Deli during December. Each of his photographs in this exhibit has a story to tell, and stories to inspire for the viewers as well. An artist reception "With Love & Thanks, Empowering All in Pe...ace, Joy, & Grace . . . ." will be held on Wednesday, December 16th - stop in for dinner at Papa's and enjoy Dave's gorgeous images!

Northside Arts Collective Mark your calendar to get your holiday shopping all done on Sunday, Dec 13th between Noon and 5pm as Northside Arts Collective will be featured at the Twice the Gift Store. The shop is conveniently located in the IDS Crystal Court and there is free parking at meters in Downtown Minneapolis that day! We'll be serving co...okies and cider with live music performed by Becky Amble and her son Alex. You'll have a chance to meet the artists and enter a drawing for a piece of art.

Join us for a special Saturday evening Great Streets Concert—we"ll have the multi-cultural world music of Felonius Bosch (featuring our very own Scott Nieman) and the Greg Herriges Duo!
Felonious Bosch is the cross-pollination of members of Boiled in Lead, Working Stiffs, The Bourbones, that includes NoMI multi-instrume...ntalist and composer Scott Nieman. With an “irreverent attitude towards folk” (stjarnell – Ectophiles’ Guide) they “..fuse the warring impulses of punk and progressive rock with a cross-cultural traditional sound shot through with jazz tendencies.” (Dirty Linen). “Unusual and unusually attractive, Felonious Bosch gives folk tradition a 3.0 upgrade.” — Michael Toland, High Bias. To sweeten the pot, Felonious Bosch will be giving away a four song preview CD of their forthcoming disc “Toybox” to the first 100 attendees.
Greg Herriges plays an eclectic mix of original and traditional world (“whirled”) music on guitar, voice, and bouzouki, putting new spins on everything from Turkish folk and Bollywood film music to Japanese koto tunes and surf-rock. Greg is also the author of several Hal Leonard world music guitar books. “… a gifted musician who is able to bring the best sounds from several cultures into one type of intriguing music.” —Folkworld (Germany) “Guitar renegade… Herriges always comes off as native maestro, never slumming dilettante. His technique on both guitar and bouzouki is formidable, his feel for diverse cultures exemplary.” —Minneapolis Star Tribune.
