Edith Gc

Edith Gc Hello, I live in Mexico and need to get in touch with some NWRIP because we want to ask for asylum due to childen abuse.
I
need to send you some documents to prove the abuse of a little girl, and authorities
in Mexico City do not protect the rights and physical and moral
integrity.
Hope you can help us.
My e-mail is aladoser@yahoo.com

Thank you very much

Northwest Immigrant Rights Project Martha shared her story with us this weekend. Have you shared yours? Why do you support NWIRP? What do you find powerful about our work? How does NWIRP affect your community?
------------------------------------------------------
This is my opportunity to say thank you to the NWIRP for all the support I had from you guys... in a very hard time. I got married in a good faith with an American man in 2001. He brought me to the U.S.A. in a fiancee visa from Mexico City where I had a good job, my family and a happy life. Once married here he was an abussive violent man, so that I looked for help, I found the NWIRP and they help me to get my green card through a Pro bono Attorney and under the VAWA. Now I am happily living in California, I've already got the American citizenship and I have been useful to the American and Latino society working as a Parent and Health Counselor. So Thank you so much for all your help and for all the help and work you do every day for the people in need.

Northwest Immigrant Rights Project Check out this New York Times article on immigration detention. NWIRP houses an office in Tacoma where staff work with immigrants detained at the Northwest Detention Center (which currently has 1,000 beds). Staff do daily “Know Your Rights” presentations and provide legal services to some detainees awaiting deportation proceedings.

Northwest Immigrant Rights Project A big thank you to all who attended and supported NWIRP's 25th Anniversary Celebration!

The Celebration, NWIRP's largest annual fundraiser, netted more than $84,000! All the funds that were raised support our work of providing critically needed immigration legal services to the low-income community in Washington State....

Congratulations to Matt Geyman, recipient of NWIRP's Amicus Award and also to KSVR 91.7 staff and volunteers, recipients of NWIRP's Golden Door Award.

The real thing is that supporters are the ones behind their work and those who appreciate it! I enjoy watching every picture of every fundraising event (gala, auction, etc) and makes me thing several things. One thing of them is that love lasts a lifetime or is isn't it
