As Los Angeles County seeks to replace a voting system that has been subject to sharp criticism from state officials, the Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to terminate a contract with one of the systems main vendors.

Voter turnout varied among the participating jurisdictions with cumulative turnout of 13.18%. Of the 282,858 ballots cast, 145,843 or 51.5% were cast using vote by mail ballots.
