This course is being delivered by the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS). The emergence of co-regulation and the Tenant Services Authority requirement for ‘bottom-up’ self assessments has led to a new emphasis on tenant led scrutiny as a valuable tool for ensuring that tenants and residents can hold their lan...dlords to account for their performance and behaviour.
THE COURSE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Discuss the context, legislation, powers and expectations
- Identify what is meant by self regulation and where residents fit in
- Explore what scrutiny means
- look at some case study examples where it is working
- Consider how scrutiny can fit into your organisation
- Develop skills for scrutiny
- Plan a scrutiny project
