Snow, rain, and freezing rain around Portland (mostly the last two). I want snow though.

Yea most of the time when it rains in Oregon there's wind to go with it. we used to have umbrellas around the house when I was a kid... But the effect was always the same;
either a sail that pulled you along till it blew apart or a wall you were pushing against.
Unless you're some kind of suit and tie guy down town who only see's the weather from the front door to the taxi, they
just aren't practical.
Also Bicycling. I saw one guy with an umbrella while biking some place... WTF ?... See More
People can have them if they want them, but it's like Hawaiian shirts and Birkenstocks camera around the neck and a map of town.... If you want to look like you belong, don't act like you're from the East Coast.

I live in Oregon for twelve years, haha, I only used an umbrella like once, when I was six. But never again. The rain is awesome, VERY awesome.

Storms in OR are awesome! I used to climb willow trees so the limbs would bend in the wind. The rain would pelt down my face and clothes. It's one the best simple memories of childhood!
