Cisco Live Virtual 2009 event attendee survey - Very interesting information, 34% of virtual attendees indicated they were likely to attend the live event in 2010 - http://blogs.cisco.com/virtualworlds/com ments/analysis_of_a_virtual_event/
More indication that virtual events, particularly hybrid virtual/live events can ...have positive impact on live event attendance. It's not an either or question of live or virtual

John Tatusko Very cool competition by Wired Mag - http://www.wired.com/vanish/ - the author of a story on people faking their own deaths and disapearing actually goes on the lamb himself and Wired offers a $5K reward to whoever finds him first. Man these guys do some cool stuff...

Some random thoughts on email design:
(1) Make it fun to look at.
(2) Work the white space.
(3) Keep the content short. If you can't read it in 30 seconds, it's too long.
(4) Analytics! Link back to your site with trackable URLs.

buy 200 copies and Chris will spend a 1/2 day with your organization, I'd have done it, but he wouldn't throw in a pizza, so no deal
