The Nyack Center Phantom of the Opera Two Classic Silent Films with Live Accompaniment at Nyack Center Sunday, November 8, 2009 You are in for fun and spine-chilling shocks as the Nyack Center presents acclaimed film scholar and renowned accompanist John Mucci, performing two classic silent films on Nov. 8 from 4 - 6 p.m. For tickets adults $10 and child $5 call 358-2600.
The Nyack Center Chris Rock, comedian, actor, screenwriter, television producer, film producer joined the crowds of princesses,goblins and batmen who partied and danced to the tunes of Danna Banana and company at Nyack Center. Monster Mash a dance party for kids and families had its usual array of activities. Local politicians Richar...d Kavesh, Rebecca Gmucs even Nyack Center Board Chair Steve Cea took pies in the face to raise money for Nyack Center's programs. Kids played shoot the slime, tried to eat doughnuts hanging from a string, had their picture taken in an electric chair, and raced to wrap their friends in toilet paper. Spaghetti and meatballs were served with other local eats donated by Sean Juan Cafe and Casa del Mar. About 3,700 was raised to support Nyack Center. The Nyack Center Candidates Forum-Friends of the Nyacks, along with The Nyack Center and The Nyack Chamber of Commerce, will co-host a candidates’ forum for candidates for Nyack Village Trustee on Thursday, October, 15th at 7:30 p.m. The forum will be held at The Nyack Center at the corner of South Broadway and Depew Avenue.
