Organizations that oppose the use of University of Nevada resources to host the founder of an extreme anti-immigration group will hold an alternative “Dialogue on Immigration”. The event will featur...e speakers, poetry and music. The “Dialogue on Immigration” is sponsored by groups including the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada and the UNR Latino Research Center Student Advisory Board that object to the use of university resources to bring to campus Jim Gilchrist, founder of the so-called “Minutemen” groups whose members have explicitly encouraged and perpetrated violence against Hispanics and immigrants. Brittany Spearin Children who come here not knowing the ramifications of the legal system are absolutely entitled to citizenship because they loose connection with their home country and become Americanized by being involved in American society and social systems (esp. schools). Give these children a chance..they did not come here by ...choice but now that they are here and have been immersed in the American ways of life- it is time to let them have access to the dream we all have- education, success, and happiness..
