Children who come here not knowing the ramifications of the legal system are absolutely entitled to citizenship because they loose connection with their home country and become Americanized by being involved in American society and social systems (esp. schools). Give these children a chance..they did not come here by ...choice but now that they are here and have been immersed in the American ways of life- it is time to let them have access to the dream we all have- education, success, and happiness..Read More

You can stay updated at http://dreamact.info/ but as of right now, it seems that the DREAM Act is not high up of the agenda because of war, the economy, health care, and other issues. hopefully next year...but that is not soon enough so please keep pushing.

Remember to call, write, and email your state senators and representatives. If they don't feel its important to the voters, they will not act.

Tiffany Perez

Tiffany Perez this is a very important issue within the states;; hopefully come January congress can see that these people should not be penalized for wanting to continue their educations

this act has my utter && full support (:

Missy Logan

Missy Logan I'm confused? Can you not go to school in the US? Will these colleges not take your tuition? I had to pay for my education, heck I still am.

The childrn of undocumented people here in America are allowed to get free education until high school, then when they get to college, a community college will charge over 3 or 4 times more per credit. Even if they have perfect grades, they are not granted scholarships.

Absolutely, most immigrants are still paying taxes (from when they did have visas, etc) and so they are paying for public schools, police, fire, etc. and they are able to use those- it is not free. Then, most colleges will make you pay out of state tuitions if you have not obtained status yet but are still eager to go on to higher education. They... Read More may live in Rhode Island and go to college in RI, but they are probably paying out of state to attend college- which is controversial and many would say unfair (like myself)

Fabiana Lucero

Fabiana Lucero I'm from Florida, here we have out-of-state tuition for undocumented students but come on who can pay 312.58 per credit it will be 937.74 per class, because I can't...I stopped going, now I'm studying at home, believe me, is frustrated knowing that I can't attend college like any other normal student...
