Hey Facebook Friends! The Oakdale Cowboy Museum is seeking exhibitors for the 17th Annual Cowboy Christmas Gift and Craft Show. Highlighting Oakdale’s own rich ranching and rodeo heritage, exhibitor’s items are asked to reflect our western theme. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 28, 2009, and will be hel...d at the Gene Bianchi Community Center in Oakdale. The cost is $75 for a 10x10 inside space or $50 for outside space. If you are interested, applications can be found on our website at www.oakdalecowboymuseum.org, by calling (209) 847-7049 or by stopping by the Oakdale Cowboy Museum. A longtime Tuolumne County ranching family will be honored Sept. 19, when the Oakdale Cowboy Museum holds its 2009 dinner-auction fund-raiser. The museum also will posthumously recognize Colin Harvey, a well-known cattleman from Oakdale.

Oakdale, CA. has a rich history of rodeo and ranching. In this episode I take you to the 52nd Annual C.T.R.A. Team Roping Championships, This event happens to be the longest running "Ten Steer" event in the country. Just one more reason Oakedale, CA. is "The Cowboy Capitol of the World".
