Obvious Pseudonym
"Band members who can't play, aren't actually in the band, or hate the songs. Living at the opposite ends of the country, lyrics from hell, tunes from jingles - why start being normal now?"

Obvious Pseudonym are extremely chuffed that the new song 'Westgate Run' has so far been compared to stuff by Nile Rodgers, Dan Hartman, Chic, Pet Shop Boys and Donna Summer. We are much complimented! Release online this weekend hopefully... :D

Obvious Pseudonym Christmas rush getting you down? Take a school-night out for some fab pop from Wakefield's number 1 cross-genre disco-fuelled fuelled-up electro-funk nutters! With new songs and some old ones, this'll be a night to remember. Extra points if you've got a santa hat on, or tinsel round yer noggin'!

Oh yeah baby, we're back... at ESCOBAR in Wakefield for a third bash as part of LOUDER THAN BOMBS 'Unsigned Bands' night. Grab a tinnie and move your feet to the phenomenon of Obvious Pseudonym!

£3 in, you can get tickets on the door or in advance from the band.

We'll be playing for about 40 minutes including some new songs with full electric setup.

We are Obvious Pseudonym, the band originally responsible for bringing you non-hits such as "Keith Chegwin For A Day", "Westgate Run", "Sex Noises" and "Disco Sauce".Our music ranges from disco to samba, blues to cheese-pop, chillout and classical; we've been accused of robbing styles and ideas from everyone from the Pet Shop Boys to Swing Out Sister touching on Asylum Street Spankers and Genesis; music legends have afforded us accolades including "entertaining", "fantastic", "twee" and "buy me a pint." In short, you won't have seen anything like it before.

Our music's been played on radio and telly - our more notable appearances and mentions have been on BBC TV's Have I Got News For You and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

You can hear our music on our official website (as well as downloading MP3s) at: http://www.anagramofhits.com

As one fan said, "If Chas'n'Dave had wild, mad, sticky sex with the Pet Shop Boys this is what they'd produce - and Pete Waterman would do the mopping up."
