Ohio University Center of Ring Theory and its Applications Second Announcement: Special Session: "Graph Algebras in Analysis and Algebra", to be held during the American Mathematical Society Annual Meeting (San Francisco, California, USA), January 13 -16, 2010.
Schedule of Talks, and Banquet Information:
The goal of this Special Session is to foster interaction between the ana......lysis and algebra communities, with emphasis on Leavitt path algebras and graph C*-algebras.
1) Talks for this Special Session will be held during both the morning and afternoon of Thursday, January 14, 2010. A complete schedule, with abstracts, can be found athttp://www.ams.org/amsmtgs/2124_program_ss21.html#title
2) We are organizing a banquet for 7:00pm on Thursday January 14. All are welcome (including speakers, participants, families, etc.). Tentative information: Roy's Hawaiian Restaurant, 575 Mission St. (walking distance from the conference). Three course prix fixe menu (vegetarian available), USD 46 (includes tax and gratuity; payable that evening). Cash bar.
If you are planning to attend the banquet, please send an email to Gene Abrams abrams@math.uccs.edu , preferably by 15 November, indicating the number of people in your group. (Note: We are not looking for a firm commitment on your part at this time, we seek only to anticipate the number of diners so as to plan for room size, etc. So if you think you will more than likely attend the banquet, please let us know. We need to reach a minimum number of diners in order to secure the banquet room.)
