The L.O. Daniel Neighborhood (http://lodaniel.com) has been awarded a grant by the City of Dallas to create a neighborhood park.

The Dallas Office of Strategic Customer Services developed a neighborhood empowerment program called the Loving My Community Neighborhood Improvement Grant (LMC). It was developed utili...zing information from over 10 cities nationwide with similar programs.

The LMC awards financial assistance to neighborhood groups that present a vision, a passion and a commitment to conduct a community operated project or program to address specific needs in their neighborhood and help improve the quality of life for their area.

L.O. Daniel has been award a $10k grant to fund the construction of a neighborhood park on a lot on Marlborough, right behind the Fina Station (at Jefferson). Construction will begin early in 2010. For a list of winners city-wide, click here. http://www.dallascityhall.com/scs/community_winners.html
