Olive Branch Fire Dept reminds you to treat frying turkeys the same as your outdoor grill. Never cook inside and have your fryer at least 10 feet away from your home when in use. Please, never leave your cooking equipment unattended while preparing your meal.

Olive Branch Fire Dept reminds parents that your children learn faster when you are teaching them new things. Take time to demonstrate Stop, Drop and Roll yourselves and remember to cover your face during the demonstration.
Olive Branch Fire Dept asks you to test your smoke detectors once a month. Make sure children understand what the loud noise is and what they should do if they hear it. If the smoke detector activates, teach children to feel the back side of their bedroom door first when closed with the back of their hand, and if it feels warm, tell them to ...not open the door but back far away from it and lie down on the floor.
