Bruce Allen Here's the film trailer. Olive is in the film.

California is losing billions of dollars of much needed revenue while 10,000 gallons of crude oil are seeping naturally into our coastal waters every day, causing environmental disaster on a large scale. SOS California is telling the truth that has never been told before in the upcoming short film "A Crude Reality"

SOS is primarily funded through individuals donations by people who support educating the public about how we can reduce CA coastal oil and tar seepage pollution for all future generations. Also, read my book, Reaching the Solar Tipping Point on sale through Amazon.com to understand we will move from fossil fuels to solar energy. I encourage you to read the studies and talk with people who've lived in SB for decades and have witnessed the beaches having less oil and tar on them.

Hundreds of seabirds are killed each year by the same oil seeps that oiled Olive. These seeps are reduced by offshore oil production. It is about the Pacific Ocean!

Olive the sea otter has moved north near to lovely Capitola by the Sea and seems to be settling in. Two weeks ago and then again yesterday she was identified both by radio frequency and by her distinct light blue toe tags...

Its ironic that the lecture "Exxon Valdez: Oil to Olive" apparently doesn't highlight that natural oil seeps are what oiled Olive and that offshore oil production off the coast of Santa Barbara has been drying up these seeps. Since offshore oil production started in CA, far more wildlife has died from oiling from these offshore oil seeps than all ... Read MoreCA offshore oil production combined- so why not "Seeps to Olive- the true story of how offshore oil seeps almost killed Olive- and how seeps do kill far more wildlife that all CA offshore oil production"? As those who have been following the story of Olive the young female sea otters who got so badly tarred this last winter may remember, we had lost track of her after the telemetry receiver that was monitoring her temperature and location was stolen from Sunset State Beach about a month ago...

Olive will be featured in the upcoming mini documentary film on SOS California, a non -profit organization from Santa Barbara, CA dedicated to raising public awareness on natural oil seeps off the coast of Santa Barbara and the dangers these oils seeps can cause to marine life. Olive is a living example of the impact t...he oil seeps have on people, the environment and mammals. This will be an insightful film on one the most controversial subjects in the country. Fortunately, Olive lives on to be a reminder that we have to be responsible and come up with solutions that will prevent hundreds of animals from dying who are not as fortunate as Olive the oiled otter.Read More

Olive was oiled by natural offshore oil seeps. Natural oil seeps release 80,000 barrels of oil per year in coastal Santa Barbara waters which drifts up the coast in winter due to the Davidson current. These seeps also kill hundreds of birds every year. Offshore oil seeps can be reduced. Future generations of sea otter...s, our beaches and Olive's decendents can have less ocean oil seepage pollution for thousands of years into the future. Check out how-SOS California.Read More

Saw Olive twice yesterday. She was basking in the surf and feeding. The TMMC crew rescued two sea lions in Olive's neighborhood... Sea lions are also the sentinels of the ocean, and they are starving by the hundreds due to lack of fish. www.marinemammalcenter.org
